Big obvious controls for the moments that matter: start, pause, reveal, score edit, leaderboard.

HostMyQuiz turns a TV, tablet, or laptop into a live quiz night: team joining, big-screen questions, answer reveals, score control, and leaderboards without the admin drag.
The player flow stays short so hosts can fill the room quickly, even when the bar is busy and teams arrive late.
The controls stay direct and readable because live quiz nights need confidence, not a maze of settings.
Big obvious controls for the moments that matter: start, pause, reveal, score edit, leaderboard.
A fullscreen TV/projector show for questions, timers, standings, and winner reveals.
Fast mobile answer screens with large tap targets and reconnect-friendly gameplay.
Dark-first screens, big type, and simple pacing help the quiz work on TVs, projectors, tablets, and phones.
Turn quieter nights into a weekly fixture, with teams coming back to defend champion status.
Run accessible group entertainment with clear pacing, large text, and tablet-friendly controls.
Add a structured live quiz to the schedule without building a production booth.
Official weekly quizzes use a consistent structure, giving venues a familiar format and teams a reason to come back for the next leaderboard.
The weekly competition gives teams something to come back for: bragging rights, leaderboard movement, and the chance to become the venue's quiz champions.
Give teams a reason to return, climb the table, and chase the venue champion title.
Timers, reveals, and leaderboard swings give the night shared moments people can feel.
At roughly £10 a week, it costs about the same as one round of drinks from one team.
Early launch pricing is planned at £45/month for the venue dashboard, live hosting, audience display, mobile team answering, weekly quiz access, and leaderboard features. That is roughly £10 per week, about the same as one round of drinks from one team.
About £10 a week. If one team buys one extra round, the night can pay for itself.

HostMyQuiz is built for real venue conditions: different screens, busy rooms, weak Wi-Fi, and hosts who need simple answers quickly.
No. A TV makes the night feel better because teams can see questions, timers, and leaderboards, but the quiz can still run without one. The host can read questions aloud while teams answer on their phones.
A TV browser means the TV opens the audience screen directly, usually on a smart TV, Fire Stick, Android TV, or connected box. HDMI means a laptop is plugged into the TV and shows the audience screen from the laptop. In both cases, the host dashboard stays private on the host device.
Use the screen for the lobby QR code, key moments, leaderboards, and winner reveals. The host can still read the questions aloud for anyone who cannot see the screen clearly.
Yes. A laptop is best for hosting because it is easier to manage the room, teams, and scoring. A tablet works well in landscape mode. A phone can work for small tests or backup, but it is less comfortable for a full quiz night.
Teams scan a QR code or use a short join code. They enter a team name and play from one phone or tablet per team. They do not need to download an app or create an account.
The team should reopen the same link. HostMyQuiz stores a reconnect token in the browser so the team can return to the same session where possible.
Yes. The host can pause, skip a question, rename teams, remove teams, disqualify teams, edit scores, and keep the quiz moving if something happens during a live night.
Yes. The core system is browser-based and tablet friendly. Care-home mode is planned with larger text, calmer pacing, and less intense visuals.
